Our Power Generation customer was dealing with an outdated Masoneilan actuator that was struggling to maintain control over the steam inlet to their turbine. Recognizing the need for an upgrade, Madsen supplied the customer with a new Woodward Varistroke 1 actuator, with a remote-mount servo and custom-designed mounting bracket and couplers. 

After receiving the customer’s newly rebuilt valve, we installed the new actuator at our Edmonton facility. Function checks and calibration were performed on the new Varistroke before shipping it to the customer, ready for installation.
